First comprehensive study of the economic and social infrastructure of the Greater Dublin Region. Commissioned by a Steering Group of the DEP, the Dublin and the Mid-East Regional Authorities, and undertaken by the ESRI. Launched in May 2001 by the Taoiseach Mr Bertie Ahern T.D.

This study has continued to contribute substantially to local and regional planning in the Dublin Region, including the National Spatial Strategy, Dublin County Development Plans, FÁS strategies etc. The study also laid the basis for various further initiatives by the Pact in the area of Dublin social and economic policy development.

Includes comprehensive statistics , mapping and analyses of all areas of economic, employment, infrastructural, educational and social development.
