EUROCITIES Education Committee

Dublin Employment Pact is an active participant in the 150-city European network Eurocities. In 2002 Eurocities established a new Policy Working Group on Education, consisting mainly of the educational authorities of various member cities.

The Committee focuses on educational disadvantage and social inclusion and is currently developing its first 3-year work programme. From Dublin, both the CDVEC and the DEP are involved. The DEP Education & Employment Group has appointed a representative to the Committee, Mr Brian Fleming, principal of Collinstown Park Community College, Clondalkin.
